Samuel Thomas Seger, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 19,2021 after a brief illness.

 

Graveside services: Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Biggers Funeral Home.

 

Samuel was born October 23,1930 in Collington, Maryland to the late Lida Taylor Seger and George Lewis Seger. He was the youngest of 5 boys.

Samuel served in the United States Navy. He worked as a police officer for the City of Hyattsville prior to transferring to the Prince Georges County Police Department in Maryland. Samuel also worked a second job as a heavy equipment operator doing bridge construction. He was the father of three children.

Samuel was a member of First Baptist Church Umatilla Florida for over 30 years. He served as a deacon for many years. His ministry was visiting those who were in the hospital, nursing homes, and those who were unable to leave their homes to attend church.

Samuel moved to Texas in December 2018 after having a stroke. He spent the last two years of his life surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren making many wonderful memories that we will always cherish.

 

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Lewis, Edward, Bernard and Ernest; wife, Constance Seger in 1972; son, Ernest Seger in 2003; and wife, Annie James Seger in 2016.

 

 

He is survived by his children, Linda Biron and husband, Gilbert; Robert Seger and wife Christy; and step- daughter, Carol Allen and husband, Millard; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
